At Passion To Share Foundation, we believe that technical skills must be complemented by strong soft skills. Our Customer Service training equips girls with the professionalism, confidence and communication skills needed to succeed in employment and entrepreneurship.
The course helps them develop empathy, effective communication, persuasion and professional client-handling skills. They learn to embrace service as a culture and understand the importance of treating every client with respect—whether communicating face-to-face, on the phone or through email.
Through this training, we help our girls grow personally and professionally, preparing them to build strong client relationships, make successful sales and thrive in their chosen careers.
Marketing is the comprehensive process of creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and society through activities that promote and facilitate the buying & selling of products/services.
Marketing is important as it will help drives sales and revenue by connecting their businesses with the right target audience(customers), creating brand awareness, and building customer relationships. It’s an important tool for our girls as they are learning hands-on-skills.
This course equips students at Passion to Share Foundation with essential communication and presentation skills that complement their skills training in Fashion, Graphics, Beauty and Hairdressing. It focuses on helping students express their ideas confidently, interact professionally with clients, promote their services and present their work effectively.
Major Topics
– Speaking Competencies – developing clear, confident and professional communication that would help them in the afternoon training life either as entrepreneurs or as employees.
– Listening Skills – learning to understand clients and respond appropriately to their needs.
– Speech Delivery – using voice, body language and visual aids effectively when presenting or demonstrating work.
– Persuasive Speaking – learning how to convince and attract clients to their products and services.
– Overcoming Fear – building confidence when speaking to clients, groups or potential customers.
– Business Pitching – learning how to present and sell ideas, products and services to potential investors as a way of getting funding towards self employment
The practical approach of the unit is important because students in Fashion, Graphics, Beauty and Hairdressing need more than technical skills. They also need the confidence and communication abilities to serve clients, market their skills, present their work, build professional relationships and create business opportunities.
Communication skills is a subject taught to empower young women to express themselves with clarity. As much as the lesson equips the girls with the power to use their voice, they also gain the ability to express themselves in writing as they prepare themselves for entrepreneurial or the job market.
Emphasis is specifically made to areas where they will encounter first Hand experience since this stage of their life (after high school) often involves building personal identity and goals.
Learning how to deliver effective speeches, perform confidently in interviews, and write clear reports and professional CVs helps them stand out academically and competitively in their careers. Understanding non-verbal communication such as posture, eye contact, and facial expressions also strengthens their ability to build meaningful connections and present themselves with confidence.
The end goal through this skill,is to empower the girl to advocate for herself, seize opportunities, and participate boldly in any environment she enters.
Many of our trainees saw their college dreams shattered by financial hardship. And this made majority to only school till secondary level. That’s why graduation at PSF is deeply intentional—featuring caps, gowns, official certificates, and cheering loved ones, is a norm that tells the society or proves that you have graduated with trade skills.
You can ask yourself, Why go all out? Because every girl deserves the pride and confidence of declaring, “I am a graduate.” Holding that certificate in her cap and gown isn’t just a ceremony; it is an affirmation to her that she did it and that she should go out their and make a difference and write new chapters of her life and that of her family and generations to come.
Genowa (which means our hope in “Luo”) is a Passion To Share Foundation’s interest-free loan programme created to support our alumni as they take the next step toward independence. Through the programme, eligible alumni who dream of starting or growing a small business can access interest-free loan to turn their skills and ideas into sustainable sources of income. We are in the pilot phase of this programme, but so far so good it has turned around the aftermath of our training to the Alumni who have benefited.
